What are the classifications of conveyors?

作者:点击:731 发布时间:2023-07-15

According to different installation methods, conveyors can be divided into fixed conveyors and mobile conveyors. Fixed conveyor means that the whole equipment is fixedly installed in one place and can no longer be moved. It is mainly used for fixed transportation occasions, such as special wharf, goods movement in warehouse, transportation between factory production processes, receipt of raw materials and distribution of finished products. It has the characteristics of large conveying capacity, low unit power consumption and high efficiency. Mobile conveyor means that the whole equipment is installed on wheels and can be moved. It has the characteristics of strong mobility, high utilization rate, timely arrangement of conveying operations to meet the loading and unloading requirements. The conveying capacity of this kind of equipment is not too high and the conveying distance is not long. It is suitable for small and medium-sized warehouses.

According to different structural characteristics, conveyors can be divided into conveyors with flexible traction components and conveyors without flexible traction components. The working characteristic of the conveyor with flexible components is that materials or goods are transported in a certain direction by the continuous movement of the traction components under the action of the traction components. The traction component is a closed system of reciprocating circulation. Usually, one part transports goods and the other part returns. The common conveyor without flexible components such as belt conveyor, chain conveyor, bucket elevator and suspension conveyor is characterized by using the rotational motion or vibration of the working component to transport goods in a certain direction, Its conveying components do not have the form of reciprocating cycle, such as pneumatic conveyor, screw conveyor, vibration conveyor, etc.

According to different forms of transporting goods, conveyors can be divided into mechanical, inertial, pneumatic, hydraulic and other categories; According to the nature of goods, conveyors can be divided into continuous conveyors and intermittent conveyors. The continuous conveyor is mainly used for the transportation, loading and unloading of bulk goods. Intermittent conveyor is mainly used for the transportation of container unit goods (i.e. packaged goods), so it is also called unit load conveyor.
